Getting the right e-bike size is crucial for comfort, efficiency, and injury prevention. Our professional e-bike sizing calculator uses industry-standard formulas (Hamley method, Italian standard) to recommend your ideal frame size, saddle height, and accessory specifications based on your unique body measurements.
Whether you're shopping for a city commuter e-bike, electric mountain bike (eMTB), or electric road bike, proper sizing ensures optimal power transfer, reduced joint strain, and maximum enjoyment on every ride.
Professional bike fitting in 60 seconds - Get your perfect frame size, saddle height & accessory recommendations
Stand barefoot against a flat wall with your heels together. Use a book or ruler to mark the highest point of your head. Measure from the floor to the mark.
Stand with your back against a wall, barefoot, legs 6-8 inches apart. Place a book between your legs, spine up against your crotch (simulate saddle pressure). Measure from the floor to the top of the book spine.
Sit on corrugated cardboard on a hard surface for 30 seconds. Stand up and measure the distance between the center points of the two indentations. This gives your exact sit bone width for optimal saddle selection.

Curated products that fit your exact measurements
• City/Commuter E-Bikes: Inseam × 0.66 cm (Italian Standard)
• Electric Mountain Bikes: Inseam × 0.226 inches + Reach/Stack geometry (IMBA Standard)
• Electric Road Bikes: Inseam × 0.665 cm (European Standard)
We use the renowned Hamley Method with posture adjustments:
• Upright: Inseam × 1.08 (reduces knee strain for relaxed riding)
• Moderate: Inseam × 1.09 (classic Hamley formula)
• Aggressive: Inseam × 1.10 (maximizes power output for performance riding)
This ensures optimal knee flexion angle (25-35°) at bottom dead center.
If sit bone width provided: Sit Bone Width + 15-30mm (depending on riding posture)
• Upright (>90°): +25-30mm (more weight on sit bones)
• Moderate (60-90°): +20-25mm (balanced pressure)
• Aggressive (<60°): +15-20mm (forward weight shift)
If not provided: Based on gender averages - Males: 100-120mm sit bones (130-155mm saddle), Females: 110-130mm sit bones (145-170mm saddle)
Estimated from arm span (height × 1.03):
• City: ~30% of arm span (short reach, upright comfort)
• Mountain: 35-38% of arm span (balanced control)
• Road: ~40% of arm span (aerodynamic efficiency)
Adjust stem length ±10-20mm to fine-tune.
Correlates with hand size, which scales with height. Small hands (<165cm height): 27-30mm, Medium (165-185cm): 30-32mm, Large (>185cm): 33-35mm diameter.
ℹ️ Important Note: These calculations provide excellent starting points used by professional bike fitters worldwide. However, individual body proportions (torso-to-leg ratio, arm length, flexibility) may require ±2cm adjustments. We recommend test riding when possible and making micro-adjustments based on comfort during your first few rides.
